Free QR Code Generator

Create a QR code for a website link or plain text. Download a sharp PNG or scalable SVG for menus, flyers, classroom handouts and business cards.

Website mode requires a complete https:// or http:// address. Text mode preserves your text. Up to 1,000 UTF-8 bytes; shorter content is easier to scan.

Ready. Enter your content and select Generate QR code.

How to create a QR code

  1. Paste your complete website address, or choose Plain text.
  2. Select a colour, error correction level and PNG size.
  3. Generate the code and download PNG for everyday use or SVG for print design.
  4. Scan it with a phone camera and confirm the destination before printing.

Adobe Express QR code generator: how does this compare?

The Adobe QR code generator in Adobe Express creates static URL codes and integrates with its design tools. Adobe documents PNG, JPEG and PDF downloads. WebToolzHub focuses on direct URL or text encoding and PNG/SVG export. Neither a static code here nor an Adobe Express static code can have its encoded destination changed after printing.

Canva QR code generator: static versus dynamic

Canva currently offers static codes and dynamic codes whose destination can be updated. Some dynamic customization and analytics features depend on the Canva plan. WebToolzHub creates static codes only: it does not provide an editable redirect service, scan analytics or campaign management. Download your PNG here and upload it into your Canva or Adobe Express design if you already use those editors.

WebToolzHub is independent and is not affiliated with Adobe or Canva. Product details were checked on 30 October 2026 and may change. Sources: Adobe Express QR code generator, Adobe static-code guidance, Canva QR code help.

Frequently asked questions

Will my QR code expire or need a subscription?

The downloaded static image has no timer and does not require a WebToolzHub subscription. A website code still depends on the destination staying available. If a website or domain stops working, its QR code cannot fix that.

Can I change the link after printing?

No. The exact destination is encoded in this static code. Generate and print a new code to change it. If you control the linked webpage, you can update that webpage without changing its address.

Does the tool send my URL or text to a QR service?

Encoding happens in your browser, without sending the content to a remote QR-generation API. The page loads its QR library from jsDelivr. The website’s general privacy policy still applies. Do not put secrets in a QR code: anyone with the image can decode it.

Which file should I use for print?

SVG can scale without pixelation. PNG is useful in most editors. Keep the four-module white quiet zone, use high contrast, and avoid stretching or cropping. Test at the actual printed size and expected scanning distance.

Can I add a logo?

This version keeps all QR modules unobstructed. It does not add a logo over the code. Higher error correction does not guarantee that an overlaid logo or damaged print will scan.

Why is the PNG size approximate?

Each module uses a whole number of pixels to keep its edges sharp. The exact download dimensions are shown after generation. Unicode text is UTF-8 encoded; scan-test it with your intended reader.

QR encoding uses the MIT-licensed QR Code Generator by Kazuhiko Arase.
